Frank Ogborn

 

Mayor

 

Mayor Ogborn was elected to the City Commission in the 2010 General Election. His term expires in 2014.


Mayor Ogborn moved to Florida in 1972. He lived and worked in Miami as the Chief Engineer for a resort hotel. In 1989 he relocated to Gainesville and began Kitty Hawke Aviation in 1994, training pilots and flying for a variety of charter air service companies. Mayor Ogborn has traveled the United States and eleven foreign countries where he flew all types of aircraft, from small Cessna's to jets. He has almost 8,000 hours of flying time.


After retiring from flying, he and wife Debra moved to Archer and opened The Plantation at Archer Station Bed and Breakfast. Mayor Ogborn is also an accomplished singer and musician who performs with the Flying Gypsies Band.
